The steps below describe the minimum setup required to get started.<\/p>\n<h2>Review the Global Settings<\/h2>\n<p>The plugin includes default global settings, so most options do not need to be changed before creating your first booking form. However, we recommend reviewing the main settings in <mark>&#8216;Settings&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Chauffeur Booking System&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;General&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Main&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Currency<\/strong> \u2013 select the base currency used for prices displayed in the booking form.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Length Unit<\/strong> \u2013 select kilometers or miles as the default distance unit used throughout the plugin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Date Format, Time Format, and First Day<\/strong> \u2013 review these settings to match the date, time, and calendar format used on your website.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Address Format<\/strong> \u2013 select the address format appropriate for your region, for example the default format or the US format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also recommend reviewing <mark>&#8216;Settings&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Chauffeur Booking System&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;E-mail&#8217;<\/mark> and selecting the <strong>Default Sender E-mail Account<\/strong> that should be used for plugin notifications.<\/p>\n<h2>Configure Google Maps<\/h2>\n<p>Google Maps configuration is required for Chauffeur Taxi Booking System. Navigate to <mark>&#8216;Settings&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Chauffeur Booking System&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;General&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Google Maps&#8217;<\/mark> and configure the <mark>&#8216;Google Maps API Key&#8217;<\/mark> and <mark>&#8216;Google Map ID&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have not configured Google Maps yet, follow the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/quanticalabs.com\/docs\/chauffeur-booking-system\/knowledge-base\/generating-google-maps-api-key-and-map-id\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Generating Google Maps API Key and Map ID<\/a> guide.<\/p>\n<div class=\"important\">\n<p><strong>Important!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Google Maps is required for route calculations, distance and travel time calculations, toll calculations, address autocomplete, geofencing, and other location-based features used by the booking form.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Create a Vehicle<\/h2>\n<p>Start by creating at least one vehicle that will be available for bookings.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to <mark>&#8216;Chauffeur Booking System&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Vehicles&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <mark>&#8216;Add New Vehicle&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter a vehicle name and optionally add a short description and featured image.<\/li>\n<li>In the <mark>&#8216;General&#8217;<\/mark> tab, review the vehicle details and configure options such as <mark>&#8216;Vehicle Make&#8217;<\/mark>, <mark>&#8216;Vehicle Model&#8217;<\/mark>, <mark>&#8216;Number of Passengers&#8217;<\/mark>, and <mark>&#8216;Number of Suitcases&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally add additional vehicle images using the <mark>&#8216;Gallery&#8217;<\/mark> option.<\/li>\n<li>Open the <mark>&#8216;Prices&#8217;<\/mark> tab and configure the pricing for the vehicle.<\/li>\n<li>Save the vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The <mark>&#8216;Prices&#8217;<\/mark> tab allows you to define the basic rates and additional charges associated with the vehicle. Depending on your business model, you can configure options such as an initial fee, distance and hourly rates, delivery and return fees, waypoint fees, passenger and suitcase fees, and payment method fees.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tip\">\n<p><strong>Good to Know<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You do not need to configure every available price field. Use only the pricing options that apply to your business and the services you offer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Create the Booking Form<\/h2>\n<p>Once you have at least one vehicle configured, you can create the booking form.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to <mark>&#8216;Chauffeur Booking System&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Booking Forms&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <mark>&#8216;Add New Booking Form&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Open <mark>&#8216;General&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Services &amp; Transfers&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>In <mark>&#8216;Service Type Offered&#8217;<\/mark>, select the services that should be available in the booking form. You can enable one or more of the following:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Distance<\/strong> \u2013 bookings based on pickup and drop-off locations, with the route distance and travel time calculated by the plugin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hourly<\/strong> \u2013 bookings based primarily on the selected rental duration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flat Rate<\/strong> \u2013 bookings based on predefined routes created in the plugin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If more than one service type is enabled, use <mark>&#8216;Default Service Type&#8217;<\/mark> to select which service should be displayed first.<\/li>\n<li>Review <mark>&#8216;Transfer Type&#8217;<\/mark> if you want to offer return trips for Distance or Flat Rate services.<\/li>\n<li>Open the <mark>&#8216;Availability&#8217;<\/mark> tab and configure the business hours. At least one day of the week must be enabled with working hours defined.<\/li>\n<li>Save the booking form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"important\">\n<p><strong>Important!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you enable the <strong>Flat Rate<\/strong> service type, you must create at least one predefined route in <mark>&#8216;Chauffeur Booking System&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Routes&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Create a Route for Flat Rate Bookings (Optional)<\/h2>\n<p>You can skip this step if your booking form uses only Distance or Hourly services.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to <mark>&#8216;Chauffeur Booking System&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Routes&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <mark>&#8216;Add New Route&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter a name for the route.<\/li>\n<li>In the <mark>&#8216;Route&#8217;<\/mark> section, enter the first location and select the correct address from the Google autocomplete suggestions.<\/li>\n<li>Use <mark>&#8216;Add before&#8217;<\/mark> or <mark>&#8216;Add after&#8217;<\/mark> to add another point to the route.<\/li>\n<li>Configure at least two route points. You can add additional waypoints if needed.<\/li>\n<li>Save the route.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Add the Booking Form to a Page<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Edit the booking form and open <mark>&#8216;General&#8217;<\/mark> -> <mark>&#8216;Shortcodes&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Locate the <mark>&#8216;Booking Form Shortcode&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <mark>&#8216;Copy&#8217;<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<li>Edit the WordPress page where you want to display the booking form and paste the shortcode into a Shortcode block or a shortcode-compatible element provided by your page builder.<\/li>\n<li>Save or publish the page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Your booking form should now be available on the page and ready for testing.<\/p>\n<div class=\"doc-version\">\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Document version: 2.0<br \/>\n\tLast updated: August 26, 2026<br \/>\n\tPlugin version: 8.4+<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After installing and activating the plugin, you only need to configure a few basic elements to create your first working booking form.
