Zoho Mail SMTP Configuration
To use Zoho Mail for SMTP mail sending, configure your Zoho account with an Application-Specific Password. This password is used instead of your regular Zoho account password when configuring SMTP.
Configure Zoho Mail SMTP
1. Open Zoho Account Security
Sign in to your Zoho account and open the Security section of your account settings.
2. Create an Application-Specific Password
Open ‘App Passwords’ or ‘Application Specific Passwords’, then click ‘Generate New Password’.
Enter a descriptive name such as WordPress SMTP or Booking System SMTP so you can easily identify the password later.
Good to Know
If multi-factor authentication is enabled for your Zoho account, an Application-Specific Password is required for applications that connect using standard mail protocols. Zoho also recommends using application-specific passwords for external mail clients even when MFA is not enabled.
3. Generate and Save the Password
Zoho will generate an Application-Specific Password. Copy and save it securely, as it will only be displayed once.
Use this password in the plugin’s SMTP configuration instead of your regular Zoho account password.
Zoho Mail SMTP Settings
Use the following values when configuring SMTP in the plugin:
- Username: your full Zoho Mail e-mail address, for example
[email protected] - Password: the Application-Specific Password generated by Zoho

465for SSL or587for TLS - Secure Connection Type: SSL for port 465 or TLS for port 587
Important!
If multi-factor authentication is enabled for your Zoho account, do not use your regular Zoho account password in the SMTP password field. Use the Application-Specific Password generated for external application access.
Good to Know
Application-Specific Passwords can be removed from your Zoho account at any time. If you remove or regenerate the password, remember to update the SMTP password configured in the plugin.
After saving the SMTP configuration, use the e-mail testing option available in the plugin, if provided, or create a test booking to verify that notifications are sent correctly.
