License Verification

After installing the plugin, you need to verify the license. This is done in the menu ‘Settings’ -> ‘Chauffeur Booking System’ -> ‘General’ -> ‘License’.

License Information

Upon accessing this page, the details of the currently registered license are displayed. These include:

• License ID
• Product ID
• Supported until – the date until which support is valid.
• Last checked – the last date the license was verified.
• Domain – the domain to which the license is assigned – this is automatically detected.
• Purchase code – a required field to be filled in.

Obtaining the Purchase Code

The Purchase Code is a key obtained upon purchasing the plugin on Envato Market. Instructions on how to retrieve this key can be found in this article: Where Is My Purchase Code?

Verifying the License

1. Enter the Purchase Code in the provided field.
2. Click the ‘Verify purchase’ button.
3. You will be redirected to the Envato website, where you need to log into your account (if already logged in, this step is skipped).
4. A prompt will appear: Authorize License to connect with your account? Accept the terms and click ‘Approve’.
5. You will be redirected back to the license configuration page. If the verification is successful and the Purchase Code is valid, it will be stored in the ‘Purchase Code’ field.

Common Verification Issues

If the license verification fails, possible reasons include:

1. Invalid Purchase Code

The entered code is incorrect or does not match any valid license.

2. Purchase Code Belongs to a Different User

The purchase was made from a different Envato account than the one currently logged in. In such cases, the original buyer must log in and verify the license, for example, on behalf of a client.

3. Attempting to Verify a Bundled License from AutoRide

If you purchased the AutoRide theme but are not using it (i.e., it is inactive), license verification will fail. According to the AutoRide license terms, the Chauffeur plugin can only be used together with the AutoRide theme. If you purchased the AutoRide theme, you should use the purchase code you received with it to verify the license. To use the plugin with a different theme, a separate Chauffeur plugin license must be purchased and verified.

4. Deleted Envato Account

If your Envato account has been removed, the license cannot be verified.

Support

If you have purchased technical support (via the ‘Renew Support’ option available for plugin buyers on Envato Market), the support validity date will automatically be updated within a few days. This will reflect in the Supported until field, and no further action is needed from your side.

Domain Usage

Each purchase code can only be used on a single domain. If the license verification is completed on domain A and the same purchase code is verified on domain B in a different installation, the purchase code will be unregistered from domain A and activated on domain B.

Envato’s terms allow for the license to be registered on a staging domain. Once you are ready to go live, you can transfer the license to the production domain, but it can only be active on one domain—either the staging or live domain.
